Ric "Jaz" Hall is one of the best blues musicians of the new generation. He has been part of Buddy Guy's band for years. Watching him perform a solo at one of their concerts it was clear that he is very capable of filling the shoes of the "Old-timers". I chose this image of him, which I photographed at another concert, because of the quiet solitude it conveys. The lights shining brightly on him also serve as a metaphor for his future.
