This painting won Best of Show at the Irving Art Association Show and a Merchandise Award at the Pastel Society of Cape Cod show.
The photo was shot on a train ride through the Swiss Alps between Zuerich and Lugano. My friend was exhausted, but the landscape kept us awake as the edge of the mountains towered literally only a few feet from our window. I loved her contemplative gaze and the reflection in the glass.
