It is now part of the Permanent Collection of the Wichita Center for the Arts, Wichita KS
This was the first painting I created after my mother passed away. I had been blocked for 6 months, it was right after 9-11 happened and I found it very difficult to get back to work.
But this scene did it! It flowed easily, I loved every minute of its creation and the fact that it won an award and was purchased by the museum was the affirmation I needed to keep painting.
