My youngest daughter and I were visiting Santa Barbara and were enjoying a great day with just the two of us, when we found a funky little bookstore across from this lighthouse right by the beach. When I look at this piece I remember how we browsed the cramped space picking up dusty, used books that transported us into other worlds for a while. When we stepped out of the store, we were greeted by this warm, glowing light on the white stucco of the lighthouse, the salty breeze clearing the dust from our noses and we realized what a perfect day we were having!
