About Sophonie: Sophonie is another child who came to us in 2004 due to hurricane Jeanne that devastated Gonaïves and left so many people homeless. She is 14 years old and lost both parents during the flooding. She struck me as very mature and sweet. She actually wrote "Thank you for the service" and "God bless you" (with a few delightful misspellings!) on the front of her drawing. On the back she wrote that she wants to be a doctor. I hope she fulfills her dream! Birthday: Sept. 16, 1996
