Daggi Wallace - Work Detail: Waiting for the Next Run

My first professional rodeo! Ok, so only as a spectator, of course, but it was still a momentous occasion since I had lived in Texas for over 20 years and had never been to one. It took some artist friends from Germany visiting me to get me to the Fort Worth Stockyards to watch the calf ropers, bull riders and the rodeo clowns! When I'm observing people I love to watch the ones on the fringe of the action. When I spotted these two waiting for the moment when they might be needed again I knew I had my next painting subject.
